On December 6th we purchased a Virginia's New Year's Millionaire Raffle ticket for $20. Our ticket number is 394472 -- please send good vibes our way! The winning numbers will be announced at 11:00 p.m. on December 31st. The odds of winning $1M aren't bad -- 1 in 110,000 -- when you compare that to the odds of winning the top prize on a scratch-off, which are more like 1 in 1,000,000.
Virginia's New Year's Millionaire Raffle will have 408 winners. They will be giving away four $1,000,000 prizes, four $50,000 prizes and 400 $500 prizes.
Perhaps we should buy another ticket or two before the drawing. As of right now only 249,287 tickets are remaining. Hmmm...
