Virginia Lottery

We decided to slow down with the Virginia Lottery for a little while, and haven't been playing as much as we used to. We've rarely won anything, even though we've spent a fortune on scratch-offs over the years! We still play, but we had to cut back a lot because of the economy.

Hearing the news report about the very lucky West Virginia lottery player (who won five jackpots!) inspired me to come back here and write.

I decided to go to West Virginia Lottery's website and look at their scratch-offs. I couldn't believe my eyes! I am in shock! They offer many more top prizes than the Virginia Lottery! I knew something wasn't right about the Virginia Lottery. I knew it couldn't be us -- not with the tons of money we have spent on scratch-offs. We should have been winning decent amounts all the time. They make it almost impossible to win decent amounts of money on scratch-offs.

Here are some comparisons between West Virginia and Virginia scratch-offs:

West Virginia Lottery's Price Is Right scratch-off started with 13 $100,000 prizes! Virginia Lottery's $100,000 Bankroll started with only 3 $100,000 prizes.

West Virginia Lottery's Go Banana's scratch-off started with 26 $2,000 prizes! Virginia Lottery's Take the Money and Run scratch-off started with only 10 $2,000 prizes.

West Virginia Lottery's Good Luck Bad Luck scratch-off started with 55 $1,300 prizes! Virginia Lottery's Wild Bill$ scratch-off started with only 15 $1,500 prizes.

West Virginia Lottery's Emerald Green 7s scratch-off started with 57 $7,000 prizes! Virginia Lottery's Dazzler started with only 20 $7,777 prizes.

West Virginia Lottery's Fat Cat Tripler started with 16 $9,000 prizes! Virginia Lottery's Cherry Doubler started with only 7 $10,000 prizes.

West Virginia Lottery's 10x the Money scratch-off started with 20 $10,000 prizes! Virginia Lottery's Double Dollars scratch-off started with only 10 $10,000 prizes.

West Virginia Lottery's 2 Cool scratch-off started with 78 $2,222 prizes! Virginia Lottery's Sacks of Cash scratch-off started with only 10 $2,000 prizes.

I could go on and on...

I also noticed that West Virginia Lottery offered a $40,000 scratch-off, but Virginia Lottery only offers amounts in that range as second prizes on the more expensive scratch-offs. Virginia Lottery's scratch-off jackpots jump from $15,000 to $100,000. There is nothing in between $15,000 and $100,000. There are no Virginia Lottery scratch-offs with top prizes in the $20,000 through $75,000 ranges. By the way, West Virginia Lottery's $40,000 scratch-off, Feelin' Lucky, started with 15 $40,000 prizes!

I wish I could play West Virginia Lottery's scratch-offs!
