Mega Millions

We played ten games (five each) for last night's Mega Millions drawing. Tim won nothing, and I got one number plus the ball, so I won $3. I chose quick pick numbers for four drawings, so I'll be playing the same numbers for three more drawings.

We'll probably purchase a few lottery tickets when we go out later today.

Wish us luck!

Win for Life

Yesterday my dear hubby decided to buy five Win for Life tickets for last night's drawing. He picked his own numbers for one set (our birthdates and ages) and let the computer pick the other four sets. We didn't win anything. Our ages did come up on one set; that was kind of cool.

I hope we win soon because this is getting expensive!

Wish us luck!

Mega Millions

We didn't win anything from last night's Mega Millions drawing. We played 15 games last night. We'll try again this Friday.

Wish us luck!

Maximum Millions

Yesterday Tim and I purchased two of Virginia Lottery's Maximum Millions scratch-offs for $20 each. We won nothing! $40 down the drain. We were so ticked. We thought that if we upgraded to the more expensive $20 tickets, we'd have a better chance at win something. At least we'll get to register the losing tickets in Virginia Lottery's current promotion 2 Ways 2 Win 2nd Chance Sweepstakes. At least we have some consolation. Hopefully we'll be one of the 10 people who win up to $2,500 on the first drawing on February 6th. At least this current promotion gives us further hope. I wish Virginia Lottery would keep this promotion permanent. It helps to feel less ripped off!

Wish us luck!

Mega Millions

I didn't win anything from my five Mega Millions games from last night's drawing, but Tim won $10 from his five quick pick games. He got two numbers and the ball!

We're planning on getting a few Virginia Lottery scratch-offs later on today.

Wish us luck!

Maximum Millions

Tim purchased two of Virginia Lottery's Maximum Millions scratch-offs for $20 each, and he won nothing. Oh, well. At least he purchased them with money that he had won. We'll keep trying. Tim will also register the losing tickets in the 2 Ways to Win 2nd Chance Sweepstakes.

Wish us luck!

2 Ways 2 Win 2nd Chance Sweepstakes

Today I learned from Virginia Lottery's website that they are offering a 2nd Chance Sweepstakes. You can enter non-winning scratchers for chances to win up to $2,500. They will have four separate drawings with ten winners per drawing. Too bad we threw away tons of non-winning scratchers! Well, we will save the losers from now on and enter them.

Wish us luck!

Mega Millions

We didn't win anything from last night's Mega Millions drawing. We're still in the game for a few more drawings; we've been playing 5 games per draw. We'll probably renew this weekend.

Wish us luck!

Maximum Millions

Yesterday Tim cashed in some Virginia Lottery scratch-off winnings and purchased one $20 Maximum Millions scratch-off. He won $40. He will purchase two more $20 scratch-offs with his winnings.

Wish us luck!

Money Mania and $120 Million Cash Blowout

Today Tim purchased eight of Virginia Lottery's Money Mania scratch-offs at $5 each, and didn't win one cent!!! $40 completely wasted. Ugh, we feel SO upset by this. The ticket clearly states that there is a 1 in 4.44 chance of winning any prize. What a rip-off! It was very disheartening to buy a strip of eight tickets and have there not be one prize of any amount on any of them.

I purchased one $20 ticket today: Virginia Lottery's $120 Million Cash Blowout. I won $20. At least I got my money back.

I don't even know what else to say. We may take a break from purchasing Virginia Lottery tickets this week.

Tax Free $100,000 and Money Mania

Today Tim cashed in $65 of winnings from Virginia Lottery scratch-offs and purchased two Tax Free $100,000 scratch-offs at $5 each, and 11 Money Mania scratch-offs at $5 each. He won nothing on the two Tax Free $100,000 scratch-offs, and won only $30 on the Money Mania scratch-offs. So, it cost us $65 to win $30. Ugh.

Perhaps we'll aim even lower and purchase some Hit $500 scratch-offs at $2 each. The odds of winning the top prize of $500 are actually decent: 1 in 4,149. I wish the Virginia Lottery offered many more games with odds that good! At this point, we'd be happy to win $500. It has never happened to us before.

Wish us luck!

More Tax Free $100,000

Yesterday Tim cashed in $55 of Virginia Lottery scratch-off winnings and purchased 11 more Tax Free $100,000 tickets at $5 each. He won a total of $45. It seems they allow you to win just enough money to keep on playing! Since the odds of winning the top prize on these tickets are very poor, we were aiming to win the second prize of $10,000. Winning that much would be more than enough to pay off our two final debts. That would be pretty good! So, we're not even aiming very high, but of course it would be nice to win the top prize. Winning the top prize would allow us to upgrade to a better house! Oh, well. Hopefully we'll win something substantial soon!

Wish us luck!

Tax Free $100,000

Today I purchased four of Virginia Lottery's Tax Free $100,000 scratch-offs at $5 each. I won $50 on one! I won nothing on the other three. I will cash it in later on today when Tim and I go to the store to cash in his scratch-offs.

I hope our good luck continues!

Wish us luck!

Mega Millions

We didn't win anything from last night's Mega Millions drawing. $5 down the drain for me (yesterday Tim had purchased an additional $5 worth of Mega Millions draws as well). We didn't even get the ball or anything. Aaargh!

We still need to cash in some winnings from Virginia Lottery scratch-offs. It's not much, but perhaps we can purchase a few more games with those winnings today.

Wish us luck!

Holiday Treasures

Tonight Tim purchased $40 worth of Virginia Lottery's Holiday Treasures scratch-offs. That would be 8 tickets at $5 each. He won only $30. Well, at least he lost only $10 this time. We are used to worse.

The odds of winning the top prize of $25,000 on Holiday Treasures are 1 in 244,800. Those odds are actually better than most other scratch-offs we've purchased, but we still won only scant amounts. As of today there are only 6 remaining top prizes and 22 $5,000 prizes.

I sincerely hope that the Virginia Lottery will change the odds in our favor for more games. They've done it with the raffles (last time they sold a limited amount of only 440,000 tickets). They need to do that more often. The odds of winning $1M from the last raffle were one in 110,000. Those are much better odds in our favor! I wish they'd hold many more raffles -- one after the other. We'd put our money there.

Wish us luck!

Mega Millions

Our five sets of numbers didn't win a thing from last night's Mega Millions drawing. Maybe we'll win Friday night's drawing.
Wish us luck!

New Scratch-Offs For Sale

I noticed that there are a few new Virginia Lottery scratch-offs for sale, including:

Tax Free $100,000. Ticket cost: $5. The odds of winning the top prize are not great: 1 in 734,400. And they're offering only seven top prizes of $100,000. I wish the odds of winning the top prize were in the hundred thousand range -- the top prize can be less. This ticket does, however, have 21 $10,000 prizes.

Money Mania
. Ticket cost: $5. The odds of winning the top prize of $150,000 aren't great on this one, either: one in 693,600. And they're offering six top prizes. This ticket also has 34 $10,000 prizes. Is there anyone out there winning these $10,000 prizes? How come the Virginia Lottery never reveals the $10,000 scratch-off winners on their website? I would love to see that!!! I would love for them to reveal all $10,000 and $5,000 winners, this way the rest of us don't feel so discouraged wasting so much money.

Spicy Hot Doubler
: Ticket cost: $2. The odds of winning the top prize of $15,000 are one in 530,400. They're offering only six top prizes. I wish they were offering 60!

I hope the Virginia Lottery will come out with many games where the odds of winning the top prize are around one in 100,000. It's just so discouraging spending big money on tickets all the time, and never even winning $100!
Tim said he would play a game that has bad odds for winning the top prize if the odds for winning $10,000 were 1 in 100,000.

Holiday Treasures

Tim cashed in his $30 winnings from Virginia Lottery's Win For Life scratch-offs and purchased six of Virginia Lottery's Holiday Treasures scratch-offs at $5 each. He won $15.

Sometimes I think we've just got to be unlucky. I mean, between the two of us, can't we scrounge up enough luck to at least win $100 or $500? Anything other than a few measley bucks? Jeez. I hope our lottery luck changes for the better!

Wish us luck!

Win For Life

Tim finished scratching the $100 worth of Virginia Lottery's Win For Life scratch-offs that I got him for his birthday. He won a total $30. The odds of winning the top prize are not good: one in 1,272,960. There are only four top prizes remaining. They started with five.

I'd rather they offered $100 a week for life, with many more chances of winning.

We'll see if we have better luck with different tickets.

Wish us luck!

Blazin' Red Hot Cash

Yesterday Tim decided to purchase two of Virginia Lottery's Blazin Red Hot Cash scratch-offs, at $10 each. He didn't win anything. $20 down the drain. The odds of winning the top prize of $500,000 are one in 1,387,200. And they offer only three top prizes! I wish they'd fix these games so that the players can have more chances of winning something substantial. Why not offer 50 top prizes of $25,000? They've got to do something about the odds of winning something substantial. It's way too much in their favor. With the amount of money we spend on the Virginia Lottery, we ought to be winning all the time!

Wish us luck!

Nothing on Mega Millions

We won nothing from last night's Mega Millions drawing. Oh, well. $5 down the drain. Actually, $10 down the drain, because my husband purchased another $5 Mega Millions ticket yesterday on a whim.

Wish us luck!

Mega Millions

Yesterday I decided to take a break from Virginia Lottery scratch-offs and try Mega Millions for a little while. I figured that something new might shake up the energy and break our bad-luck streak. I chose my numbers by using the Virginia Lottery's website's random number picker. I got these five sets of numbers and played $5 for last night's drawing:

14 25 35 41 51 - 17
19 35 47 52 53 - 45
18 28 33 39 54 - 20
09 11 27 51 56 - 16
01 03 33 39 43 - 05

I took the $5 from the $35 of Virginia Lottery scratch-off winnings. I checked the Mega Millions drawing results this morning and we didn't win a thing. But I think I'll stick with these numbers and play them again this Friday, and next week, and the week after... I'll try that for a while. I'll use the remaining $30 from Virginia Lottery scratch-off winnings to pay for Mega Millions plays.

Wish us luck!

Zilch

We didn't win a thing on yesterday's Virginia Lottery's Cash 5 game (day or night). Oh, well. $8 wasted.

Please send good vibes our way and hope we win big soon!

Purchased More Tickets With Our Winnings

Today we cashed in our $58 of winnings from the stack of Virginia Lottery scratch-off tickets that our good friend gave us for Christmas. We purchased $8 worth of Virginia Lottery's Cash 5 (eight games at $1 per game; four for today's drawing and four for tonight's drawing). We spent the remaining $50 on ten more of Virginia Lottery's Win For Life scratch-offs.

We scratched all ten tickets ($50 worth), and unfortunately, we won only $35.

I'll check the Cash 5 results tomorrow.

Of course, we will use the $35 to buy more Virginia Lottery tickets in the hopes of winning big!

Wish us luck!

Tim's Birthday Present

Today is Tim's birthday. This morning I gave him 20 Virginia Lottery Win for Life $5 scratch-offs as part of his birthday present. He's yet to scratch them. We'll let you know how it turns out...

Wish us luck!

Virginia's New Year's Millionaire Raffle

We did not win anything from Virginia's New Year's Millionaire Raffle. Oh, well. We're not surprised, but we won't give up hope.

Wish us luck!
